Advocare Day 10 wrap up, results, & advice



Dun dun dun DUN! Day 10 of the Advocare 10 day herbal cleanse was yesterday y’all.  Time to wrap this up!

Day 10
Yesterday started out with spark, restore pills and fiber drink. Once I got to work I ate a little oatmeal with PB2 and walnuts mixed in. I had drank 40 ounces of water by the time lunch came! And forgot to eat my morning snack.  Womp womp.

Here’s lunch:



Leftover Asian chicken (Advocare recipe) and steamed green beans from the other night, shredded carrots to mix in, and some olives and tomatoes.

Later in the day I remembered my snack, and had a green apple, some natural peanut butter and a spark.



Then I created this for dinner:


It's shredded rotisserie chicken, green beans, black beans, brown rice and Cajun seasonings! BJ really liked it! I planned on eating it after I got back from the gym (Bj stayed home and studied)..then got home and wasn't really hungry. So I tried this: 


...gross. Too thick, sickenly sweet. Never. Again. 

Anyway.

Day ten-158.4 


I guess I lost a total of 4.2 pounds! I’m pretty excited about that. For me, these last 10-15 lbs have been hell to lose, so losing that amount in only 10 days is a good accomplishment I think! I'm back down in the 150's, so that's nice. 

Measurement Results:

That's a total of 6.25 inches lost! 


My Advocare Advice

1.       Find a ten day span on your calendar that does not include any holidays, anniversary, birthdays, girl’s nights out, etc. A ten day span with the least amount of events (a.k.a. temptation) is the best time to do this.
2.       Before the cleanse, make a schedule of when you will eat and what you will eat.
3.       From that schedule, make a grocery list. A thorough one! Fruits, veggies, meats, oils, seasonings. Everything  you will need for every snack or meal.
4.       Go to the store and try to get everything you will need for the next 10 days.
5.       Get a water bottle and keep it with you wherever you go! You will be chugging water. This will make it easier.
6.       Portion out snacks and prepack a few lunches. After a couple of days, you will see what’s working for you and what’s not. Then you can adjust your snacks/lunches.
7.       Decide for yourself what you will allow: any black coffee? condiments? Healthy fats with meals or just with snacks? Spark or great value energy mix?
8.       Every night, pack your snacks, spark and lunch so you can grab it in the morning. The less thinking in a rush, the better.

Lastly, would I recommend this cleanse? Would I do it again? Yes and yes. If you’re looking for something gentle then this is the thing. I plan on doing it again later this year. I feel so great. I’m not bloated and I have tons of energy. My cravings are in check and I have an overall feeling of goodness.That's the only way I can describe it.

  2. I will definitely keep this cleanse in mind! I lost a lot of weight back in 2011 and would like to lose a little bit more before I get married in April. I would like to do a cleanse but have been nervous about it!
